ABOUT RIKY

Erika AKA ‘Riky’ has spent her life being willing to try almost anything at least once. She lives for adventure and new experiences as long as she is moving and grooving!

She spent her childhood trying out a lot of sports before eventually spending 15 years training in pre-professional dance. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Health Science and Doctorate of Physiotherapy from Boston University in the United States where she worked in every aspect of the athletics world. 5 years as musician in its Sports Pep Band, 3 years as a teaching fellow in the institute of rehabilitation, and 2 seasons as a strength & conditioning coach with its renowned ice hockey teams, working with several players currently active in the NHL and PWHL. She has previously assisted in athletic testing with the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and Zürich’s ZSC Lions.

Erika left the US last year under invitation from the Swiss government to be a Sports Science Research Fellow at the Zürich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) where she experimented on uses of cutting edge sports technologies in athletic performance.

All of these experiences have made Erika into a physio who is guided by all areas of science, sport, and life to meet every patient at their individual place in their recovery journey.

“You are more than just an athlete, you are a whole person, and the whole person is the key to recovery.”
